Penna Flame Industries Flame Hardening Technician in Zelienople, Pennsylvania
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This person will work daily in a shop environment on the following tasks:?
- Inspect parts using a tape measure, flashlight, eyesight, touch, calipers, scales
- Set up parts for processing using a variety of tools, possibly even welding fixtures, using small rulers measuring to 1/32" or millimeters
- Operating the flame hardening machines during processing using buttons, timers, valves, levers, and switches
- Operating fork lifts and cranes
- Operating large industrial ovens
- Filling out shop orders with detailed documentation about the process
- Keeping area clean

*WORK ENVIRONMENT *
- The operator is stationed behind a metal fence and at least six feet away from the part.
- The more heat the heat process puts off, the further away the operator is stationed.
- Proper lock out/tag out protocol is strictly followed.
