Job Title: Electrical Engineer Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to maintain and repair equipment associated with our facility and production process. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of machinery, electrical, and mechanical equipment. They will also be tasked with maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and automated controls, using schematics and electrical drawings associated with manufacturing and systems. Other duties will include overseeing the implementation and administration of NFPA70E, cost control relating to electrical maintenance, and collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Vendors, and Contractors. The role requires a commitment to preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration with minimal downtime. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Vendors, and Contractors

Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of work-related experience directly associated with PLC’s and DC and AC drives

• Self-motivated with the ability to solve problems logically and quickly

• Must be able to support a 24-hour operation, which may include on-call status

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills relating to PLCs, AC/DC drives, and 3-phase power and power distributions

• Previous experience working with Allen-Bradley and Siemens is desirable

• Demonstrated interpersonal and communicational skills with all levels of the organization

• Printing, coating, and extrusion experience a plus

• Project management skills

• Possess a strong Electrical/Electronic experience with a minimum of 2-5 years of progressive Automated Controls, Programming, and Troubleshooting in a manufacturing equipment/facility maintenance environment (medical device or pharmaceutical-related operations a plus.)

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED

• AA Degree/Vocational (or equivalent experience)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Months.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Yuba City, California.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a clean shop environment, as we partner directly with pharma companies that handle specialty cartons. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 5:30 pm, with occasional overtime as needed.
