Ollie's Bargain Outlet Inc Regional Distribution Center Loss Prevention and Safety Manager in York, Pennsylvania

Position Overview: The Regional Distribution Center Loss Prevention and Safety Manager position provides guidance with regard to risk that impacts Ollie's, our Associates, and profitability throughout all of our Distribution Centers. This position is also responsible for the overall safety programs, loss prevention initiatives, and management of accidents involving Associates working in the Distribution Center (DC).

Primary Responsibilities: • Develop, implement and analyze all programs in the Distribution Centers related to company shrink, safety and risk; • Plan, design and implement loss prevention and safety processes for the Distribution Centers and report regularly on effectiveness of processes to supervisor and DC management; • Lead and Execute all safety program initiatives while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and report regularly the effectiveness of all safety programs to supervisor and DC management; • Prepare, report and analyze all risk and safety statistics within the DC environments and provide regular updates to the SVP, CAO and VP Distribution and Logistics; • Provide guidance and support to all Loss Prevention Associates and Managers overseeing the Distribution Center(s). Establish goals and set expectations for all team members that they execute against established goals; • Act as the point of contact for Associate accidents and injuries at the Distribution Center location(s); • Investigate, evaluate and preserve evidence for all Associate accidents and partner with Human Resources, Company Safety, Risk and Loss Prevention to improve accidents; • Responsible for ensuring all new hires within each DC facility are trained on the company safety expectations and OSHA requirements; • Ensure that all required certifications are in compliance with OSHA and any other applicable laws; • Oversee the physical security of the Distribution Centers and manage all security Associates through the loss prevention Associates in each DC; • Partner with Human Resources to conduct investigations for all shrink related issues; • Monitor and maintain CCTV, alarm monitoring and maintenance for the Distribution Centers; • Continuously maintain all aspects of fire and burglar alarm monitoring and maintenance for the DC's; • Create business plans to limit risk and prepare for emergency response; • Develop and Facilitate all training related to emergency response procedures for the DC's • Responsible for developing, testing, and monitoring emergency and evacuation procedures; • Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications: • Bachelor degree preferred; • Minimum of 5 years relative experience; • Ability to effectively communicate, with company management, Associates , customers, vendors, contractors; • Ability to comprehend, analyze and assess the financial impact of accidents and other matters within the scope of job duties; • Trainer level experience in the operation of all equipment necessary to perform the job; • Ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information; and • Independent decision making is required.

Physical Requirements: • Physical ability to sit for extended periods of time; • Ability to lift 50 lbs; • Frequent computer use; • Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly; • Ability to travel short and long distances; • Ability to manage and oversee low voltage work; and • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness, and in a safe manner.
