Job Title: Contract Administrator
Job Description
This full-time, on-site position involves administrative functions related to interpreting customer contractual requirements and disseminating necessary information to ensure contractual obligations are met. The role includes informing customers about contract status and ensuring prompt issuance of billings. The successful candidate will ensure a smooth flow of contractually required information to all internal disciplines and to the customer. Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring they are legally sound and meet the company's needs.
Work with internal and external parties to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Ensure contracts are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all contracts.
Track contract terms, deadlines, and obligations.
Monitor contract performance and identify potential issues.
Manage contract amendments and renewals.
Ensure all parties involved in contracts adhere to their obligations.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts.
Work with legal counsel to address any contract-related issues.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contracts.
Communicate contract-related information clearly and concisely.
Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and operations, to ensure smooth contract execution.
Essential Skills
Experience in contract administration, especially with large-scale contracts.
Ability to manage contracts through their lifecycle, including handling customer questions, issues, and discrepancies.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Experience with government contracts is a significant advantage.
Experience in an industry under extensive government oversight and control is preferred.
Career paralegals with contract management and risk mitigation experience may be considered.
Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as MS Project.
Basic to working knowledge of contracting concepts, Uniform Commercial Code, applicable international law, or public contract acquisitions law.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related major, or equivalent specialized training, knowledge, and experience.
Two to three years of general business or contract-related experience is preferred.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift on the 1st shift. The dress code is business casual. The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
