Job Title: Automation Technician
Job Description
The Automation Technician will be responsible for the preventative, repair, and upkeep maintenance on 84 robots connected to an automated picking system within a 5,000 square foot facility. This role requires standing and working on a mezzanine that is about one story high, equipped with guard rails, a desk with a computer, and a workstation for staging the robots for repair and PM's. Work orders and PM schedules will be assigned in the system and must be handled according to scheduled expectations. Both the work orders and issues will need to be documented on paper and in the computer system.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep on 84 robots in an automated picking system.
Execute work orders and PM schedules as assigned in the system.
Document work orders, issues, and processes on paper and in the computer system.
Conduct majority of mechanical repairs on robots including timing belts, wheels, gears, etc.
Perform additional electrical and PLC/HMI work with remote troubleshooting support.
Troubleshoot and repair an IPC robotic bagging machine and various robotic arms.
Essential Skills
3+ years of Industrial Maintenance Experience
Mechanical Troubleshooting and Repair
Hand and Power Tools
Strong Computer Skills
Basic PLC, HMI Capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for documentation

Work Environment
Work in a clean, comfortable warehouse environment with a small maintenance staff. This night shift role operates from Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6 AM. Management is mostly remote, supported through Aerotek Managed Services and Automation Leadership. The dress code includes clean jeans, steel toe boots, and a plain shirt. Tools are provided, excluding lock and tag for the LOTO process.
