Job Summary:

Ensure compliance with the enterprise and business division's ethical standards and examines any non-compliance issues(facility level), including the evaluation and examination of the adequacy of internal controls

What You Will Do:

  • From the outset, the position will be expected to be a contributing performer, coordinating internal controls activities and compliance to government rules and regulations, internal policies, and procedures, and perform staff level accounting functions. Possible areas of support could include Anti-bribery compliance, Exports Controls, Financial/Regulatory Compliance, Fraud, Information Security and Internal Audits.

  • The incumbent will be exposed to a variety of facility functions and will perform a high level of compilation with a broad range of analysis work. The position is capable could understand complex accounting issues such as: inventory valuation, intercompany transactions, sales and cost of sales reporting, resolving financial reporting problems.

  • The role will review and validate relevant data and data sources, analyze information, and provide feedback.

  • This position will develop an expanded understanding of Caterpillar’s business and accounting practices, systems, and procedures: validate adherence to policies and procedures, provide training to facility personnel and leadership as it relates to internal controls and present financial analysis to facility leadership.

  • Incumbent works on challenging, low, medium, and in some cases, high risk issues and makes decisions and recommendations as appropriate. Possible areas of responsibility are varied and of medium to high complexity, including:development, maintenance and testing of internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Fraud & Anti-bribery controls documentation.Validate systems access for legal entities under the ICC responsibility to ensure there are no conflicts according to SOX and Fraud & Anti-bribery expected key controls.

What You Have:

Degree: Bachelor degree, and major in auditing, accounting or finance is preferred

Effective Communications:

  • The ability to stand strong via good communication skills.

  • Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.

  • Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.

  • Good at oral English speaking

Audit and Compliance Function: Knowledge of major responsibilities and tasks of Audit and Compliance (A&C) function; ability to manage the operation of A&C function in various business environment.

Process Management:

  • The ability to refine processes or procedures to ensure the best use of resources and technology in meeting sustainable control structure.

  • The ability to identify and monitors common process bottlenecks and can identify issues quickly and correctly, which may not be obvious. Work is reviewed after completion, except in the most complex or high impact situations.

Relationship Management:

  • The ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • The ability to differentiate the roles and responsibilities in a business relationship.

  • Works with others to address critical issues and resolve major problems.
