Job Overview:

Maintenance Technicians in automotive parts manufacturing companies are responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. In this role you will perform regular preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment used in the manufacturing process. 

Responsibilities: 

Preventative maintenance: 

perform regular inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of machinery equipment and to prevent breakdowns to ensure optimal performance. This involves following routine maintenance schedules and conducting checks on various components. 

Troubleshooting and repair:

diagnose equipment malfunctions and mechanical failures to identify the root cause of the problem. They then carry out repairs or replacements of defective pats, such as motors, sensors, valves, belts, and bearings, to restore functionality. There will be troubleshoot & repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment. 

Equipment installation and commissioning:

They assist in the installation, setup, and testing of new machinery and production lines. This may involve assembling equipment, connecting electrical and mechanical components, and ensuring proper alignment and calibration before production begins. 

Responding to breakdowns:

On-call to respond to equipment breakdowns and emergencies that occur during production. They must work quickly and efficiently to troubleshoot issues, implement temporary fixes if necessary, and restore operations to minimize downtime.
