Day in the Life of a Junior Mechanical Engineer:

Fluke in Poland is growing - we are setting up a new R&D team in Wroclaw to deliver our newest products. This is a rare opportunity to build a new team within an already established environment.

In this role, you will oversee the development of products from concept through launch and continue improving our portfolio. As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will interact with a wide variety of internal and external teams such as Project Management, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, suppliers, and external partners, Electrical and Firmware Engineering, Business units, Product Compliance, and Project Coordination.

Throughout mechanical designs, design reviews, prototype design solutions, detailed drawing work, and proper documentation, you will be responsible for developing mechanical elements used in Fluke products. This includes components and overall system designs supporting Design for Manufacturability (DFM), industry standards, and Fluke-defined product robustness requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team focused on a broad portfolio of unique electromechanical products

• Develop and sustain mechanical designs based on industrial design, simulations, customer requirements, quality, and manufacturability

• Solve Technical problems and develop solutions

• Support others on daily work and focus on project results

• Participate in design reviews to minimize design risk and rework

• Test and evaluate theoretical designs by rapid prototyping, like print 3D

• Prepare and present technical presentations and Excel table sheets

• Effectively communicate project status and potential issues

  Your Team:

You will be part of a global engineering organization with team members in Europe, North America, and Asia. You will be working with other engineers: HW Engineers, FW Engineers, ME Engineers, V&V Engineers, and with support of our colleagues from the US and EMEA.

Experience:

• Technical bachelor's degree or master's degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience

• Experience with 3D CAD software (Creo preferred), including 3D modeling, creation, and modification of drawings with GD&T, and data management

• Experience or willingness to learn in the development of injection molded parts, sheet metal, precision machining, print 3D, and technical concepts

• Knowledge of setting up and completing 3D models and documentation 2D of constructions, systems, equipment, and procedures based on relevant information and specifications

• Use of FEA tools to evaluate and assist in mechanical designs

  Personal Skills:

• Ability to work independently, taking responsibility for concepts and designing

• Effective communication and reporting to lead designers and team members

• Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Proven strong interpersonal, technical communication, and problem-solving skills required

• A high degree of self-discipline and integrity are required.
