Program Summary:
KBR has a wide range of expertise Supporting AFLCMC/WL in the Tanker Recap/NGAS (Next Generation Air refueling System) Program Office. Acquisition focused support roles spanning Milestone A to Milestone C is required for what is essentially two programs within one. This Office is looking for the best and brightest talent to support the Air Force Acquisition process.
Job Summary:
KBR is seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to support the acquisition of Tanker Recap/NGAS (Next Generation Air refueling System) systems and dissect the integration of advanced avionics and sensor systems and subsystems for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/WL). Candidate should be experienced and successful at solving complex system integration and engineering issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customers against advanced, persistent threats.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Knowledge of systems engineering principles, verification and validation of requirements, and understanding the Air Force’s acquisition processes is required
Provide technical inputs, assessments and management of program engineering efforts in support of the acquisition strategy for each case
Coordinate with program manager for specific design requirement and understand the requirement for the tasks
Ability to Draft, review, coordinate, and update (as necessary) Engineering Analysis documents
Strong communication skills with customers, end users, and analysts in order to provide recommended contractual language to specific test-related sections of solicitations
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Basic Qualifications:
BS in Engineering or related field and 15 years of directly related experience is required
Current experience and knowledge of the DoD acquisition processes and other service specific requirements is preferred
Ideal candidate would have experience with system engineering processes and experience with Avionics and sensor analysis
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ACAT Level I programs desired
Active Top Secret Clearance
