Required Qualifications
Demonstrates a keen awareness of the member experience while seeking opportunities for automation and innovation to automate and optimize business operations.
Ability to work with Data Science & Products team to understand operations workflow and requirements.
Ability to understand and make architectural decisions on both UI and backend systems.
7+ years of experience with designing and building Data Engineering solutions in cloud environments.
7+ years of experience in one or more modern languages, such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, SQL, etc.
7+ years of experience with APIs, microservices, and modern software patterns using containerized environment (i.e., Kubernetes) or serverless compute services.
5+ years of experience in building observability and fail proof systems for 24/7 uptime.
3+ years of experience in building fast API, CI/CD, container-based applications, and UI (react/Angular).
3+ years of experience in GCP eco system with hands on development using BigTable, Spanner, GKE and cloud functions.
3+ years of experience with real-time and streaming technology (i.e., Pub/Sub, Kafka, Spark Streaming).
3+ years of experience independently managing multiple deliverables.
2+ years of experience working with LLMs and other Gen AI models.
Experience building dynamic frontend UI interfaces using react/angular/express which can support 1000s of users.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing and building data engineering solutions in cloud environments (preferably GCP).
Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate data sets from disparate data sources.
Experience with complex systems and solving challenging analytical problems.
Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams
Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems.
Experience architecting and building data warehouse and data lakes.
Google Professional Data Engineer/Architect Certification.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$130,295.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
