CVS Health Analytics, Business Intelligence - Senior Project Manager in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Job Description

In this exciting and highly visible new role, you will be responsible for driving all phases of projects to integrate new Business Intelligence (BI) tools and technology into Enterprise Analytics. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing day to day management and coordination of all activities pertaining to projects, ranging from development of use cases with value statements and defining licensing and infrastructure requirements, to managing project direction, resource allocation, and problem resolution to ensure goals are met.

Your work will support a wide range of projects and requirements, including coordinated trials and Proofs of Concept, vendor onboarding, infrastructure and processes to support product deployment, all of which will support the operational effectiveness and excellence of analytics resources across the enterprise.

You will work with cross-functional teams, including IT and business stakeholders, to scope projects, and build out project schedule and resource requirements. You will be responsible for successful delivery of assigned projects by identifying and managing risk, communications, schedule and budget. In this position, you will be focused on driving toward a successful outcome from the project by engaging stakeholders throughout the process and ensuring that requirements are met on-time and on-budget.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop a clear understanding of internal processes and standards for successful implementation of new products

  • Ensure there is a clearly defined scope and plan to progress from concept through deployment

  • Partner with IT teams, vendors, and business partners to understand interdependencies and help work through solutions

  • Manage internal/external meetings and communications


Required Qualifications

To be successful in this very important role, you will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Analytics Project Manager or Analytics lead, working on data or business intelligence projects in an industry relevant to CVS Caremark (e.g. PBM, retail consumer packaged goods, retail pharmacy, retail clinics);

  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to interact with and influence decision-making by non-analytical business audiences;-

  • Have the ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently;

  • Be able to handle multiple projects and activities in a timely, organized manner;

  • Be a creative problem solver, flexible, proactive and ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment;

  • Have a solid understanding of data and analytics and how they are leveraged within the healthcare/retail industry;

  • Have experience managing cross functional initiatives; communicating effectively and confidently with business partners, project team members and senior management;

  • Possess outstanding process and project management skills, including coordinating activities across diverse departments and ensure that contributions across different teams are aligned and integrated as part of overall delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding data management, reporting tools and applications would be advantageous, along with analytical experience that includes methodology development, programming (SQL, SAS), and/or data visualization;

  • Consulting experience and/or MBA would be a plus


Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
