Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.

The Opportunity:

Professional Engineer with background in Mechanical, Combat Systems, Communications, or Logistics to deliver engineering services for the CLCM contract.

The Engineer will provide mentorship to fellow Engineers and review engineering deliverables within the scope of CLCM activities as identified to support engineering change.

The Engineer will work collaboratively and provide guidance to all stakeholders on technical matters including but not limited to LSA, Maintenace Requirements Determination, and Reliability Centred Maintenance on the PBS.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for engineering matters.

  • Reviewing engineering design task deliverables and conducting associated technical design reviews.

  • Work within the requirements of Navy Seaworthiness Framework and the ACSSPO Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO).

  • Act as a SQEP as required by the ACSSPO Principal Engineer (PE)

  • Provide technical guidance, leadership, advice, and direction to support the business unit.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering

  • Eligible to obtain SQEP Engineering Delegation Authority within an Authorised Engineering Organisation

  • Experience with Requirements Development, Design Review and Acceptance within a regulated technical framework, example Department of Defence

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience, with typicaly experience ranging from 5-10 years

  • Ability to obtain a Baseline Defence security clearance or higher

  • Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems

Desired

  • Experience in a defence design delivery

  • Experience in marine design or maintenance
