Introduction :

As Manufacturing Data Governance Manager , you will be reporting to Digital Manufacturing Senior Director, and you will understand and meet the needs for data consumers by creating data as a product . You will be responsible for data quality, management, and ownership . You will standardize data definitions , models, and assess and i mprove the data quality. You will participate in GlobalFoundries data council.

Your Job :

  • D efine and align clear priorities, goals, and objectives on data strategies and initiatives to support Digital Manufacturing transformation initiatives.

  • Demonstrates functional knowledge of advanced data -base features and concepts ( e.g , performance tuning ) and use s them effectively .

  • Leads problem solving with teams on any database platform and delivers robust recomm endations for how to effectively store , secure and manage data .

  • Leads problem solving with teams to recommend overall sizing of infras tructure for data and analytics platforms.

  • Ensure data engineering codebase is well structured , documented and optimized as part of an efficient data pipeline. s

  • Independently delivers data products leveraging ETL concepts .

  • Inde pendently engages with team on in frastructure needs and has thoughtful recommendations for common data problems (e.g., low memory).

  • Define data governance policies, standards, and best practices for mana ging manufacturing data across the organization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements, sources, and ensure data qualit y, integrity, and security throughout the data life cycle.

  • Design and implement data architectures and solutions to enable data-driven decision making and analytics in digital manufacturing transformation journey.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of data pipelines, data models, and data integration processes to support data analytics and insights generation.

  • Partner with GFIT and other stakeholders across multiple sites to optimize data architecture, infrastructure, and platforms for manufacturing data management and analysis.

  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the team fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation and embracing growth mindset for continuous improvement .

  • Stay updated on emerging trends and advancement in data management and digital manufacturing technologies to evaluate their business value for potential use cases.

    Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

    Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering , computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in computer engineering , data science, or related roles, with a focus on digital manufacturing applications.

  • P roven track record of leading teams within manufacturing domain

  • Proven track record in data management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Proficiency in data governance principles, data quality management, and data integration techniques.

  • Experience with data analytics tools and platforms for extracting insights from manufacturing data.

  • Knowledge of data security standards and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing data.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholders’ management skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, Information Technology , or equivalent

  • Certification in Project Management or equivalent certification.
