The EHS & Facilities Technician will be responsible for the following: -

Essential Duties

  • Troubleshooting of electrical power failure.

  • Repair or replacement of faulty office lighting.

  • Repair or replacement of faulty emergency lighting.

  • Ensure continuous supply of utilities such as electricity, air-conditioning, exhaust fan, domestic water supply, compressed air, Nitrogen gas to R&D, offices, meeting rooms, pantries, instrument test bays, distribution center and Laboratories.

  • Ensure maintenance work on utilities supply system are completed as per maintenance contract schedule.

  • Support Meeting room set up and reinstatement.

  • Ensure work request are raised as per EHS&FAC work request procedure.

  • Ensure weekly recyclable waste are collected by appointed vendor on weekly basis.

  • Liaise with property management officer on common property maintenance and repair.

EHS

  • Ensure regulatory compliance for the required facilities system/equipment, for example, MOM/ EMA/ NEA/ SCDF.

  • Support EHS matters, like maintaining safety equipment.

  • Support EHS programs, like waste management: recycling.

  • Ensure compliance of operations within the area of concern with all relevant EHS regulatory requirements and SCIEX safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Facilities

  • To ensure operation & maintenance of facilities system/equipment is maintained to minimize manufacturing downtime.

  • Facilities system/equipment includes temperature and humidity control, zero air and N2 supplies, air compressor, drinking water dispenser, electrical supply system, office furniture, cleaning, pest control, Facilities alarm system, pantries, and all other building services engineering.

  • Liaise & coordinate with contractors and support area owners in product transfer, addition & alteration project, Facility repair & replacement works.

  • Quotation request & raise purchase requisition.

  • Monitor contractor work to ensure all SCIEX safety policies, procedures, and guidelines is followed and done as per purchase order or contract.

  • Monitor and update the facilities system/equipment location plan.

  • Update of Facilities drawing as required.

  • Electrical troubleshooting on the Lighting system, distribution boards, electrical motor starter, and pantry equipment.

  • Carry out hands-on work.

  • Maintain maintenance and repair records as stated in SOPs.

  • Liaise with the landlord on general area maintenance and repair.

  • Other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Security

  • Maintenance and repair of CCTV & access card system.

  • Maintenance and repair of Facial recognition system.

  • Maintenance and repair of the auto door system.

  • Issue and replace access cards.

  • Assist with downloading CCTV and card access records.

  • Other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Facilities management.
