Overview of Role
ZwitterCo is seeking an experienced Production Specialist to join our expanding manufacturing team. This role will be a key contributor to scaling and maturing our in-house production and chemical process operations. The ideal candidate has a history of working with, setting-up, maintaining, and operating roll-to-roll coating equipment while holding a commitment to product quality as the highest priority.
Key to this role is full command and hands-on experience with medium to high volume roll-to-roll coating line equipment and chemical line processes. This includes job set-up, verifying run parameters, assuring prescribed quality checks are adhered to, and being comfortable as the process leader responsible for the cost-effective production of ZwitterCo's market leading filtration elements.
ZwitterCo has advanced the state-of-the-art of membrane-based filtration performance across a range of industries and has set an equally high standard for the production specialist's role. This role will be at the forefront of working with the ZwitterCo R&D team as new product designs are tested, providing early-stage manufacturability feedback, as well as producing customer shippable products.

Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Production Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of membrane production. This includes job scheduling, equipment set-up, process readiness, material movement, process & product record creation, and overall readiness of the membrane production work cell.
Equipment maintenance, set-up, and production up-time
Perform pre-flight inspections and ensure process equipment is fit for use, job process parameters are identified and validated, materials have been inspected and approved for use, and all personnel & safety controls are in place
Oversee coating process during production runs and ensure product quality meets prescribed standards
Working with R&D, execute trial runs and provide process & product feedback to further the investigation and refinement of future products
Working with Operations Engineering, provide feedback on manufacturing performance, assist with the correlation of finished element performance to membrane production and be a lead in the pursuit of cost-effective membrane manufacture
Work with external suppliers as needed to transfer production knowledge
Conduct site visits to contracted manufacturers as needed to ensure transferred production specifications are adhered to and supplier personnel are properly trained to meet ZwitterCo specifications
Work with the EHS team and the Production team members to ensure a safe operating environment is always maintained
Other responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum education level of associates degree preferred but not required. Above all, candidates should have extensive experience with coating equipment, possess excellent attention to detail, and strive to continually improve product and process quality.
5+ years' experience in a manufacturing role
Experience working with industrial-scale chemical processing and/or synthesis
Hands-on experience with slot die coating systems
Detailed knowledge of the operation and maintenance of industrial roll-to-roll coating equipment
Experience with spiral-wound element rolling operations is an advantage for this role
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a collaborative, professional demeanor while suggesting improvement or corrective actions to partners
Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
Flexibility and creativity to meet changes to schedule, priorities, or procedures.
Subject matter knowledge in overall element production operations will make candidates more competitive.
Schedule, Travel, Compensation and Location
This is a full-time position in Woburn, MA and reports directly to Production Manager.
There is no expected travel for this role.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and include equity and benefits.
