TEKsystems Systems Engineer in Winston Salem, North Carolina
Description:
This is an individual contributor position which works under regular supervision and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration and operation of the enterprise environment which supports the Windows servers and operating systems. Our Customer is looking to bring on a Systems Engineer to be apart there team supporting a large windows environment. They are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running day to day consist of working on SharePoint, AWS, Active Directory, Azure AD (Entra), understanding Traffic and protocol Flow, also working within a Microsoft environment as well. this person will start off working tier 2/3 support tickets to get to understand the environment and also partnering with a team of 5+ system engineers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enterprise Windows Server environment Support--30%
• Assist with the maintenance of internet protocol address space through utilization of dynamic or static configuration for the Microsoft environment, such as through DHCP.
• Assist with managing Remote Access Security Services, and maintain the Domain Name System (DNS) server.
• Perform general server and automated duties.
• Designs, configures and runs the desktop, laptop and server standards and images environment, assuring conformance to corporate standards.
• Analyze workflow.
Technology Support---40%
• Monitor and Report on Expiring assets (users, computers, RSA tokens, etc..) and work the removal process to maintain a clean and secure environment.
• Triage on-Call queue and complete or assign incoming tickets.
• Provide day-to-day health monitoring, problem resolution, growth projections, change management, and patching & version management of the assigned technologies.
• Assist with unexpected or emergency machine and software maintenance during non-business hours.
• Research, plan, and implement enhancements to our existing technologies.
• Research, plan, and implement new technologies as part of a business solution product or to support new efficiencies or functionalities within the company
Other Support Duties--30%

• Maintain multiple Windows Server operating systems, manage operating system
• Provide and support monitoring routines for Windows Server.
• Perform File Restores as requested.
• Research and resolve production issues related to Windows Server and Client operating systems.
• Provide production analysis and development on client server tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Train new hires on basic on-call duties and ticket fulfillment
