WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROCESS ENGINEER

SENIORITY LEVEL: Junior Level

FUNCTION: Operations

LOCATION: Winston Salem, NC

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Own and supervise all processes related to manufacturing of Modern Oral products.

  • Develop, plan and conduct studies, as appropriate, for enhancements/improvements to safety, quality and operational efficiency.

  • Develop processes in place and optimize existing MO manufacturing processes and practices to acquire higher efficiencyy.

  • Work with production management and provide leadership as appropriate to identify and resolve machine, product and quality issues

  • Design tests, analyze data, and summarize findings for equipment and processes in areas of responsibility

  • Partner with area stakeholders to provide root cause and data analysis for applicable processes.

  • Approve and actively participate in equipment/process qualifications and quality plans.

  • Provide oversight of contract services, as required.

  • Supervise critical quality and performance parameters.

  • In conjunction with Information Management and Controls Engineering, supervise and review machine and quality data. Initiate changes to ensure the data integrity.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science or related field with 2+ years of progressive experience.

  • Previous experience in process control, statistics or information technology preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; Problem solving skills, risk-based decision making.

  • Strong computer, written and oral communication skills.

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, data systems, and crucial computer applications.

BENEFICIAL

  • Proven expertise evidenced by relevant certifications. (IWS, Kaizen, CQE, Six Sigma etc.).

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal oversight.

  • Results oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet manufacturing and contract reporting deadlines.

  • Manufacturing or Quality experience a plus.

  • 401(k) plan that offers opportunity to save on pre- and post-tax basis up to 50 percent of eligible compensation.
