CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Facilities Technician I.

Type: Contract

Job Title: Facilities Technician I

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

*Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Winston-Salem, NC *

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: 7am - 3pm, Mon - Fri

Education: HS diploma or higher

A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as

  • 3-5 years of facilities handyman experience

Description

Encompasses construction, space utilization, scheduling of preventative maintenance, repair, and compliance with safety policies and regulations for buildings and grounds. Responsible for planning plant, office and production equipment layouts for economy of operation and maximum utilization of facilities and equipment. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Develops criteria and performance specifications for facilities and equipment required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.

Requirements:

  • Requires moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job and a familiarity with terminology and procedures.

  • Follows previously defined procedures.

  • Proposes and implements basic solutions to routine problems.

  • Refers atypical or complex problems to others.

  • Works under close site supervision.

  • Provided instructions for routine work.

  • Recommends actions to improve efficiency.

  • Able to perform duties within prescribed timeframes and maintain confidentiality.

  • Contacts are primarily within the immediate work group.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • HS diploma or higher, required

  • AAS, desired

Qualifications

  • Repair and maintain plumbing and electrical systems

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair of facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools without supervision

  • Perform facility inspections and report on conditions affecting operation

  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements

  • Maintain compliance to City, County, State ordinances and codes

  • Support emergency and afterhours building needs

  • Assist with cleaning, remodeling of spaces as needed
