Position Overview: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a health care professional who provides specified services in the Dialysis Department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN is active in the nursing process and collaborates with the RN to deliver quality and safe care. The LPN understands the Nursing Practice Process including assessment by the Provider & RN, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Dialysis patient. The Dialysis LPN is also active in the technical process of dialysis under the direction of the RN.
