Cabela's Merchandise Operations Specialist in Winnipeg, United States

Summary:

Reporting to the Merchandise Sourcing Manager, the Merchandise Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the BPS Merchandise Management System (MMS) and SAP to help ensure the Category Management (CM) team’s strategic direction is analyzed and executed. They ensure systematic SKU information is accurate to better serve our business. This position builds relationships by working with the CM teams to ensure SKUs are created, maintained, and assorted efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Specializes in BPS’s MMS systems/SAP and applications using their system knowledge to make decisions based on interpretation, discretion, and judgment.

  • Works to build team collaboration cross-functionally with Category Management, Distribution & Logistics, and Planning & Inventory teams to help systems align and keeps SKUs moving as planned through replenishment channels.

  • Works with Visual Merchandising/ Space Planning teams to ensure Planogram integrity.

  • Builds relationships with other Merchandise Operations Specialists to deliver results in a complex and fast-paced environment.

  • Helps design, develop, train, and document modifications to BPS’s MMS, including writing SOPs.

  • Able and eager to learn quickly and assist in their own personal development.

  • Proficient information-seeking skills and drive for excellence.

  • Have a positive attitude that fosters and contributes to a positive work environment.

  • All other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4+ years of administrative work experience

  • Post-secondary education in business administration or an equivalent combination of related education and experience

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Strong PC skills with an emphasis on Spreadsheets (Excel) and Database Management Systems (Access or other query tools) and the ability to analyze and sort large data sets

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work within a team as well as cross functional departments

  • Excellent organizational skills and time

  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities simultaneously to meet company deadlines
