Responsible for producing, inspecting and shipping products
As part of a team, work to maximize productivity and efficiencies
Inspect unfolded/folded cartons prior to feed to identify any defects
Maintains feed section of gluer by placing product to be glued into feed in an orderly manner
Monitors feeds to detect machine jams/malfunctions
Maintains catching section of gluer by keeping corrugate and other supplies orderly
Performs visual quality inspections of folded/glued cartons
Maintains work area in an organized and neat fashion
Assists in setup, cleanup and preventative maintenance tasks
Communicates effectively with supervisor/lead hand any equipment or packaging problems
Other duties as assigned and required
Safety:
Support GPI safety programs and training
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations, and company policies
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
At least one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines safely
Ability to interact with customers, co-workers and managers in a professional and courteous manner
Critical Thinking
Reading Comprehension/Writing/Mathematical Skills
Hand/Eye coordination
Complex Problem Solving
Physical Requirements:
Standing for extended periods of time up to 12 hours
Able to frequently lift, bend, squat, reach and push
Awkward and/or repetitive movements
Lifting up to 25 lbs.
Use of packing equipment
Use of hand jack/dollies
Required to drive forklift/low lift
Shift Schedule: Must be able to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 production facility
