  • Responsible for producing, inspecting and shipping products

  • As part of a team, work to maximize productivity and efficiencies

  • Inspect unfolded/folded cartons prior to feed to identify any defects

  • Maintains feed section of gluer by placing product to be glued into feed in an orderly manner

  • Monitors feeds to detect machine jams/malfunctions

  • Maintains catching section of gluer by keeping corrugate and other supplies orderly

  • Performs visual quality inspections of folded/glued cartons

  • Maintains work area in an organized and neat fashion

  • Assists in setup, cleanup and preventative maintenance tasks

  • Communicates effectively with supervisor/lead hand any equipment or packaging problems

  • Other duties as assigned and required

Safety:

  • Support GPI safety programs and training

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations, and company policies

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • At least one year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines safely

  • Ability to interact with customers, co-workers and managers in a professional and courteous manner

  • Critical Thinking

  • Reading Comprehension/Writing/Mathematical Skills

  • Hand/Eye coordination

  • Complex Problem Solving

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing for extended periods of time up to 12 hours

  • Able to frequently lift, bend, squat, reach and push

  • Awkward and/or repetitive movements

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.

  • Use of packing equipment

  • Use of hand jack/dollies

  • Required to drive forklift/low lift

Shift Schedule: Must be able to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 production facility
