SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results. This position is responsible for the proper care and cleanliness of facility laundry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Adherence to Policies
Must show courtesy and respect to other employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, the general public, etc.
Abide by Eduro HealthCares drug and alcohol policy.
Maintain good personal hygiene and dress and groom appropriately.
- Report on time as scheduled and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings and in-service sessions.
- Become thoroughly familiar with emergency procedures.
- Must be able to perform duties in a timely fashion, and within the prescribed sequences and schedules.
Must be cooperative with other departments and be courteous and respectful in dealing with them at all times.
Participate in and respond professionally to surveys (inspections) conducted by government agencies.
LAUNDRY DUTIES

The primary purpose of your position is to maintain laundry in an efficient, clean, orderly, safe and sanitary manner to ensure clean clothing and linen are always available to meet the needs of the residents.
All laundry must be done according to sanitation procedures, safety precautions, infection control and universal precautions.
Sort resident clothing and linen into appropriate bins. Soak soiled laundry (in bleach when necessary). Separate all laundry according to texture and color and then follow normal washing procedures. Dry clothing and linen according to manufacturers direction, making sure lint screens are free from lint. Fold and deliver personal clothing to resident closets, ensuring all are in correct rooms. Label unmarked clothes. Return clean linen to closets.
Make sure never to wash wool, dry clean only, and clothes to be washed by family.
All laundry must be done in a manner that will not damage contents of machine or the machine itself. This means do not overload the machine, use correct amounts of laundry detergent and keep all foreign objects away (spoons, etc.) Use proper laundry sorting procedures to ensure laundry is not damaged.
Properly clean and maintain equipment. Report malfunctions to the building maintenance supervisor or the administrator.
