Robert Half Accounts Payable Analyst in Wilmington, Delaware
Description Salary $70,000- $100,000/Year
Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
This is a high visibility, highly impactful role with tons of growth potential. This role is not limited to AP functions but will lend a hand across multiple functions in the finance and accounting department. The responsibilities of the position include all aspects of accounts payable processing, including sorting and coding invoices, coordinating approvals, posting, and selecting invoices for payment, maintaining vendor relationships, miscellaneous reporting, and general team support where and as needed.
You will be working with other accounting professionals whose focus will be on general accounting responsibilities from A/R, Payroll, month end closing and financial statement generation and distribution. You should be comfortable in a fluid environment where priorities could shift on occasion. Requirements:
As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you have been responsible for the entire accounts payable cycle.
Reviewing and recording international and domestic vendor invoices timely and accurately.
Coding and verifying accounting expense line items on invoices and check requests for vendors assigned.
Help with General ledger account and supporting schedule reconciliation.
Assist with Bank account and credit card reconciliations.
Obtaining appropriate approvals for payments, tracking outstanding items, coding all cash receipts, verifying receipts prior to payment, and researching payment issues as necessary.
Recording invoices and check requests into the Accounts Payable system.
Processing payments and preparing manual checks for mailing or distribution to external and internal customers as necessary.
Preparing and filing prior year voucher files for archive storage after audits.
Responding to all vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
Record journal entries into the general ledger module including cash receipts.
Be a backup support to Payroll processing.
Requirements
Bachelor`s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administrator
At least 5 years of solid experience in a high volume, fast paced A/P environment
Accounts Payable analysis and assistance with weekly check and ACH runs and domestic & international wire transfers.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word
Proficient in data entry
Attention to detail and accuracy with a strong ability to organize and prioritize.
Excellent Communications skills both written and verbal.
