The Warehouse Associate will support the advancement of Habitat's mission and the growth of the ReStore by supporting the backroom operations including the inflow and outflow of donations as well as supporting the ReStore's daily operations Tuesday-Saturday.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse

• Ensure the warehouse stays clean and well organized to support easily moving items from the warehouse to sales floor.
• Work with drivers to ensure trucks are unloaded quickly and efficiently.
• Unload, clean, repair and price donations.
• Organize and arrange merchandise within the dock and store.
• Screen store and truck donations for ReStore use and salability, keeping up to date on acceptable/unacceptable items.
• When needed, travel in ReStore truck to assist with donation pick-ups.
• Follow all safety and best practice policies to support a safe work environment.

ReStore

• Assist in promoting the Habitat mission through meaningful interaction with ReStore customers and product donors daily.
• Assist ReStore customers with product information and merchandise handling.  
• Research general information and value of merchandise donations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Above average written and verbal communication skills.
• Marketing and merchandising knowledge and experience.
• Initiative and drive to be able to complete tasks without supervision.
• Outgoing and confident personality, willingness to seek out and talk to people about the Habitat for Humanity mission and the Habitat ReStore.
• General computer knowledge and skills, with the ability to use the internet and social media applications.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and unexpected shifts in priorities.
• Willingness and ability to serve as an Ambassador for Habitat for Humanity by representing the organization and advocating for its mission to the community.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift 75+lbs., stand, squat, bend and climb for 4-6 hours at a time.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid PA driver's license with an excellent driving record.
