Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in our logistics and warehouse operations by efficiently and safely operating a forklift to transport materials, goods, and products. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to safety will contribute to the success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials, goods, and products in a warehouse or distribution center
- Follow established procedures and safety guidelines to ensure the proper handling of materials and prevent damage or accidents
- Inspect and maintain the forklift and other equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or concerns to the supervisor
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks, such as loading and unloading trucks or organizing inventory
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Perform general warehouse duties, including packaging, labeling, and organizing products as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid forklift operator certification and experience
- Proficient in operating different types of forklifts, such as counterbalance, reach, or pallet jack
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Physically able to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
Basic computer skills and ability to operate warehouse management systems
