Clean Harbors Shipping and Receiving Manager in Wichita, Kansas
We are seeking a team oriented Shipping & Receiving Manager with a servent leadership mentality to join our Wichita, KS team. This position is 70% in office managing and updating production reporting over a 24 hour period and 30% in the field. Will supervise the shipping and receiving departments to include but not limited to managing staff, feedstock, inventory, coordinating inbound trucks and inbound/outbound rail cars. You must be able to wear a lot of hats and open to learning new things.

Updating production and inventory for the last 24 hours.
Managing feedstock (UMO – Used motor oil) inventory for the refinery.
Coordinating and managing inbound trucks and inbound/outbound rail cars.
Monitor facility and departmental performance, and assist the facility where needed
Coordinate department efforts with other groups (logistics, lab, operations, order entry and maintenance)
Purchase supplies and services
Maintain departmental compliance with quality program
Interviewing, hiring and development of staff
Training
Permitting for contractors onsite such as HOTWORK or Confined Space
Other duties as required
What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?
HS diploma or GED
3+ years of leadership experience preferred
3+ years of shipping and receiving experience
1+ Production experience preferred
6+ months rail and tanker loading and unloading experience preferred
Knowledge DOT and environmental regulations
Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization and present data to hire-ups
Refinery/Chemical experience a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Mechanically inclined (valves and pumps)
Strong data entry skills
Strong leadership skills
Organizational and problem-solving skills
Computer savvy
MS Office Suite – Word and Excel
