Schedule:\ Monday-Friday 8pm-12am (20 hours / week)

Role:

Responsible for cleaning the CrossRoads building by maintaining a clean, sanitary and infection-free environment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

20% Provide housekeeping duties throughout the building including commons areas, bedrooms, storage areas, and bathrooms

15% Sweep and mop floors and entryways.

15% Cleans rugs, carpet, furniture, and window blinds.

15% Dusts furniture.

15% Dust and wash walls, windows, door panels, vents, and baseboards.

10% Clean inside, outside, underneath and behind refrigerators, stoves, microwaves.

5% Empty waste baskets and transports trash and recyclables to disposal area.

5% Replenishes bathroom and cleaning supplies.

Expectations:

1. Complete 95% of projects on schedule.

2. Strong organizational skills

3. Excellent interpersonal communication skills

4. Must posses a valid Kansas Drivers License and an insured vehicle for periodic business use.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience:Minimum of one-month related industry experience.

Education:A high school diploma

Interpersonal Skills:Reasoning ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills:Have the skills, patience, and understanding to work with and around special needs children/youth. Good interpersonal skills, including composure under stress and sensitivity to the needs of others. Ability to represent the Wichita Children\'s Home in a professional manner.

Physical/Environmental:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. There is moderate noise in this working environment. Must be able to walk at least one mile to escort residents as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: \$15.00 per hour
