Description

What you will be doing as a Building Controls Engineer :

In this role, you can expect to collaborate with Textron Aviation's maintenance and facilities teams to ensure optimal building system performance. You'll design, implement, and maintain control systems for HVAC, lighting, and other critical infrastructure. Additionally, you'll troubleshoot system issues, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

System Management : Oversee computer-based control systems for building mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC and energy management

Issue Resolution : Diagnose and resolve issues with direct digital control (DDC) systems and other control devices

Optimization : Program and configure control systems to enhance building performance and energy efficiency

Maintenance : Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems are operating efficient ly and reliabl y

Innovation : Research, test, and analyze ideas for system and process improvements, integrating new technologies for better automation

Project Leadership : Lead capital projects, manage vendor and contractor relationships, and support energy conservation initiatives

What you need to be successful:

A Bachelor's degree in one of the following:

+

Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Controls Engineering

+

Reliability and Maintainability Engineering

+

Manufacturing Engineering

+

Mechatronics

+

Other related fields

Minimum 2 years of relative experience in manufacturing, facilities, or other relative experience is required

Strong organizational, time management, project management , and problem-solving skills is helpful
