HOSPICE OF WICHITA FALLS INC DIRECTOR OF FINANCE in WICHITA FALLS, Texas
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree Required.
Certified Public Accountant required.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous financial management experience required.
Previous experience with Word, Excel, and database software required.
Health care background preferred.
Previous experience in development of business plans from development to completion of projects.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to handle detailed information accurately and perform a variety of tasks efficiently.
Ability to take initiative and develop organized methods to complete projects.
Ability to advance in computer knowledge.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to be used with staff, volunteers and the community.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to understand the physical, emotional and spiritual concerns/problems of terminally ill patients and their families.
Ability to be at work as scheduled and to remain alert/awake.
Ability to function independently with minimum supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide financial program oversight:
- - Prepare Annual Operating and Capital Expense Budget. - Monitor budgets on a regular basis and share financials with appropriate supervisor. - Upload financials to benchmarking tools - Present financial information to Finance Committee and Board of Directors. - Ensure all patients are billed timely and appropriately. - Prepare and file IRS 990 timely. - File Cost Report Timely. - Submit Hospice Cap form timely. - Submit all requested and needed information to external auditors timely.
Supervise the following departments:
- - Accounts Payable and Accounting - Billing - Payroll
