Procurement Governance Specialist

Summary
The Center of Excellence pillar of the Strategic Supply Management department requires a Procurement Governance Specialist to assist in quality assurance and compliance activities resulting in increased accuracy of contract data and minimization of manual efforts associated therewith.#LI-VB1
Responsibilities
Support the execution, and communication of procurement policies and procedures and support the integration of corporate policies and procedures into procurement.
Research and verify internal compliance with Supply Chain and Procurement policies, procedures, strategies, and guidelines on an ongoing basis.
Assist with material for quarterly trustee meetings.
Support the development of the procurement annual report.
Support development and execution of procurement performance management (KPIs).
Provide support to SSM department.
Work with SSM department to implement policy changes.
Maintain knowledge of other initiatives / projects in the company that may interact with / affect SSM's performance and operations and collaborate with necessary stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highly collaborative individual, with ability to work cross functionally and build trusted and collaborative relationships with partners across all business units to achieve results.
Self-starter, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while delivering solid action-oriented results quickly.
Basic experience implementing policies and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Entry level knowledge of supply chain management concepts in procurement
Education, Experience and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree with exposure to compliance related work preferred
Or
- Associate’s degree with minimum 2 years of compliance related work experience preferred
Physical Requirements
Up to 5% travel required.

The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is: $74,340.00 - $102,220.00. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
