Timber Products Company Maintenance Planner in White City, Oregon

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plans, schedules, audits and coordinates plant wide implementation and utilization of the MPulse - CMMS. Effectively collaborates with plant wide teams to ensure production quality and operational goals are safely achieved through engaged planning and inventory management of parts and materials as well as preventive maintenance of equipment and processes. Utilizes CMMS attributes to develop and fully implemented a dynamic CMMS platform while ensuring the Company Wide “One Enterprise” Culture and practices are followed.

Variable and dependent on training needs and scheduling requirements.

MAJOR TASKS:

  • As established by the Regional Maintenance Manager, follows the Company’s CMMS management and utilization guidelines. Works closely with TRCS maintenance and management team to develop the mill’s CMMS infrastructure designed to support planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive maintenance activities.

  • Through CMMS work order process, conducts system audits, monitoring maintenance practices. Supports production by ensuring maintenance tasks are executed in a timely manner and in conformity with Companywide/One Enterprise protocols.

  • Assists in the training of maintenance team members in the robust use of CMMS.

  • Regularly reviews any backlog of maintenance requests/work orders and adjusts priorities and schedules as requested by Maintenance Superintendent.

  • Develops and maintains a full array of available critical parts and supply levels through CMMS inventory tracking. Works closely with purchasing in the maintenance of parts and supplies. Utilizes interface between CMMS and D365 for the eventual use of the automatic requisition generating feature.

  • Provides maintenance cost history through CMMS report selector.

  • Follows all safety rules and regulations. Supports a safe work environment in all activities.

  • Performs other duties related to the daily operation of the facility that may be required for operational continuity.

  • Responsible for supporting and enforcing company policies and procedures while providing comprehensive auditing of all programs. Demonstrates “Walking the Talk” regarding One Enterprise practices.

  • When required for vacations and/or absences may be asked to fill in as needed for other staff members.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial production and/or preventive maintenance experience.

  • Possess technical and or institutional equipment knowledge regarding production type machine centers.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and provide clear direction. Must have a demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of work.

  • Ability to work with computer equipment and collaborate with team members on CMMS program development. Demonstrated ability to write and provide simple and accurate instructions.

  • Demonstratable the skills needed to develop well defined written Work Orders and SOP’s.

  • Must have leadership skills similar to that of a production shift supervisor.
