Job Description:
Responsible for oversight and management of teams supporting the organization’s technology infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, voice and data networks, cloud services, compute and storage administration, and data center operations. This individual actively engages with their teams to ensure operational excellence while focusing on enhancing the resilience, maturity, scalability, and capabilities of the organization’s infrastructure. Collaborates with cybersecurity and other technology teams to meet regulatory compliance. The role balances strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, driving innovation, optimizing performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in aligning infrastructure operations with organizational goals, ensuring long-term success, resilience, and growth.

Senior Manager Infrastructure
Hiring Salary Range: $141,000-$239,000
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Responsibilities:
Lead by example, working closely with infrastructure teams to guide day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Provide hands-on support where necessary to ensure critical issues are addressed and resolved efficiently.
Develop and implement a forward-looking strategy to increase the maturity and capabilities of the organization’s infrastructure services.
Actively participate in troubleshooting major incidents and complex technical issues, helping teams identify root causes and drive permanent resolutions.
Lead initiatives to assess and improve the maturity of infrastructure services, implementing frameworks, tools, and metrics to measure performance and service quality.
Work with teams to introduce and refine operational processes, ensuring that SLAs for availability, performance, and security are met or exceeded.
Implement and advocate for continuous improvement programs, challenging the status quo and encouraging teams to experiment with new technologies and methodologies.
Engage in hands-on collaboration with vendors and service providers, ensuring that solutions meet organizational requirements and performance expectations.
Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, using this knowledge to lead teams in evolving the infrastructure in ways that directly support organizational growth and innovation.
Take a proactive, hands-on role in guiding the development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure readiness in the event of an incident.
Actively collaborate with teams to enhance the resilience of infrastructure systems, identifying and mitigating risks that could impact service availability or recovery times.
Lead and participate in disaster recovery and business continuity drills to test readiness and ensure that recovery procedures are effective and up to date.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security measures that protect against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, such as NERC CIP, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards and best practices.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Prepare status reports and keep management, client and other stakeholders informed of project status and related issues.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to functional area.
Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job.

Qualifications:
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
An MS, MBA, or related advanced degree desired.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL Managing Professional, CCNP, Azure Solutions Architect, PMP, or similar are highly desirable.
