Description
We are offering an employment opportunity for a Windows Server Administrator in the retail industry. You will play a critical role in upholding the stability, security, and efficiency of our Windows-based systems. This role involves supporting various network services, Windows Server environments, VMware ESXi, and Microsoft SQL.
Responsibilities
• Uphold the stability, integrity, and security of Windows Server environments by collaborating with the Windows Administration Team.
• Handle vulnerability remediation across Windows and Active Directory Services.
• Facilitate Windows patch management processes, ensuring regular updates and compliance with security best practices.
• Perform system performance tuning and establish benchmarks in line with CIS Benchmarks.
• Oversee the VMware ESXi virtualization platform and ensure its maintenance.
• Occasionally provide support for Microsoft SQL Server.
• Manage and troubleshoot various network services such as DHCP, DNS, PKI, IIS, KMS, etc.
• Respond to and resolve user requests through the ServiceNow (SNOW) work queue.
• Assist in server provisioning and collaborate with the application team for application configuration.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts and processes to automate system tasks and fulfill user requests.
• Work with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to improve system efficiency and security.
Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Windows Server Administration role or similar
• Proficient in PowerShell and PowerShell Scripting
• Familiarity with Office 365 administration
• Experience with Windows Server 2016 is essential
• Knowledge of DHCP DNS, DHCP, and DNS is required
• Experience with VMware is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Active Directory management and operations
• MCSA certification is preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
