Job Title: Production Machine Operator
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Production Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in a packaging manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operation and be comfortable working on an assembly line. This role involves pallet building, loading, and unloading products while ensuring all processes adhere to standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
Operate production machines efficiently and safely.
Teach and supervise general production employees on correct job procedures.
Rotate positions to ensure cross-training and versatility among team members.
Build, load, and unload pallets following proper SOPs.
Work collaboratively in a team environment with 3-4 people per cell.
Ensure adherence to all assembly line processes.
Perform inspections and use hand tools as required.
Operate forklifts for material handling.
Essential Skills
At least 1+ year of experience as a machine operator.
Experience in the manufacturing industry and production line operations.
Proficiency in assembly line processes and machine operation.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with palletizing and packaging.
Knowledge of hand tools and inspection processes.
Forklift operation experience is preferred.

Work Environment
The work environment is a packaging manufacturing facility specializing in paper and wax paper products for the food industry. Employees work in a team setting on an assembly line. Shift hours are as follows: 1st shift: 7am-3:10pm, 2nd shift: 3pm-11:10pm, and 3rd shift: 11pm-7:10am. True machine operators receive higher compensation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WESTFIELD, Massachusetts.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
