Survey Crew Chief – Westfield, IN
We are actively hiring for a Survey Crew Chief to join a growing team in Westfield, IN. This team will be part of a company that does Concrete Layout and Foundation work for Industrial, Commercial, and Residential projects. The workload will be predominantly Commercial and Industrial work, and they are working towards their INDOT pre-qual to start supporting Transportation projects. This is a long-term opportunity for a Crew Chief who could move up through the ranks pretty quickly and grow as they help expand this team. This person has the potential to eventually lead and manage the Survey team.
Job Responsibilities:
Field Work: Perform fieldwork for topography, boundary, and ALTA surveys
Construction layout: Conduct construction layout tasks with precision
Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret construction plans accurately
Survey Computations: Complete survey computations with a high degree of accuracy
Field Notes: Process fieldwork and maintain clear, detailed field notes
Equipment Proficiency: Utilize Trimble surveying equipment
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain survey equipment so it is in optimal working condition
Job Requirements:
2+ years of experience as Crew Chief OR 3+ years of experience as Instrument Operator
Experience performing the field portion for Construction Layout, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and ALTA Surveys
Must be willing to submit to Drug Test, Background Check, and MVR check
Must live within a 60- to 75-minute radius of Westfield, IN
Any AutoCAD experience is preferred but not required
Compensation:
Target pay range for this position is $27/hour to $38/hour for the listed years of experience, but pay is negotiable above that rate for candidates with additional years of experience.

Environment and Schedule:
This person will be working outside, in the field, on survey projects. There is a lot of autonomy with the role. Employees come to the office every day to pick up company truck.
The typical day starts at 7:00am, and candidates will work 40+ hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
