Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team in West Mifflin, PA! The Bettis Laboratory Site (BLS) Critique Program Coordinator serves as the Critique/Incident Report expert. Critiques are a formal investigation process for engineering and compliance issues to determine what happened, what should have happened, why it happened, and what needs to be done to prevent recurrence.  Critiques employ critical thinking and causal analysis, along with active facilitation, to quickly document issue resolution. This is a leadership development position that provides consultation, oversight, feedback, assistance, direct facilitation, and training to Event Owners and Critique Facilitators.  An integral part of this position is the training, certification, and monitoring of Critique Facilitators on the process and the effective behaviors for positively facilitating investigations.  This position will have the opportunity to conduct both initial and continuing training, monitor critique meetings and provide feedback to Critique Facilitators and Event Owners to ensure that best practices are being employed.  The Critique Coordinator provides leadership, facilitation, guidance, and support in performing causal analysis and the development of effective corrective actions by Event Owners, Critique Facilitators, or Organizations, as requested. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; or  Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or qualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Currently or previously CRE qualified; or 6 years as SRE; or SRE qualified and 9 years of experience.

Preferred Skills

Previous experience with the Critique or Incident processes Previous experience or training in any of the following: performing causal analysis, developing a problem/cause/corrective action matrix, developing a management meeting item (MMI), or development of "A" finding response(s) Previous experience in Quality Assurance processes or in classroom instruction/teaching Meeting facilitation and/or Lean facilitation experience

Pay Range $103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only.
