We are looking to hire a Maintenance Technician - Electronic Controls for 1st shift-7am-3:30pm.

Scope: Maintains equipment at optimal performance to ensure the production of high-performance products with respect to quality, delivery, and cost to meet customer’s requirements. This position also provides direct support and troubleshooting related to electronic controls and circuitry, drives, PLCs, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and initiate projects to continuously improve production equipment and work environment to ensure quality and productivity levels.

  • Assist with the installation of machinery and/or control systems, ensuring adherence to all safety and operational standards.

  • Initiate/Participate in self-development and training of others.

  • Exhibit/Initiate safety awareness and safe work practices, including LOTO, arc-flash prevention, working from heights, permit-to-work and contractor safety management.

  • Coordinates expediting, schedule changes, and urgent corrective maintenance jobs as assigned.

  • Maintains production equipment, including electronic controls components.

  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks in CMMS system.

  • Fulfills required assigned preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.

  • Recommend and/or implement changes to manufacturing process or equipment to ensure efficiency, reduce costs, and/or improve quality/safety.

  • Visually observe, troubleshoot, evaluate, diagnosis and repair non-conformance conditions (either product or process) and restore to acceptable performance.

  • Maintains physical and CMMS inventory by Adhering to spare parts policy and providing comments and suggestions for further improvements and future development.

  • Regular calibration of equipment under Maintenance responsibility to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Consults with engineers and other technicians on specific decision on equipment, machinery and designs on special projects.

  • Ensuring maintenance activities coming under the position’s scope of responsibilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies and expectations.

  • Report any identified major equipment, facility, infrastructure issues or potential hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly.

  • Be available for emergency repairs and maintenance outside of regular working hours, if required.

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering discipline, preferably Electrical or Electronic, or equivalent in education and work experience.-

  • Technical certificate or recognized trade licensing (electrical preferred) desirable.

  • Demonstrated capabilities and experience in the equivalent of S-G “Maintenance Mechanic-A” job qualifications.

  • Developed knowledge of site-specific products and processes.

  • Able to operate independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.

  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting electrical equipment and controls.-

  • Ability to understand and communicate in US English language, in writing and verbally.

  • Able to read, understand and follow SOPs, labels, instructions, equipment manuals and engineering and single line electrical drawings.

  • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical abilities, including use of appropriate measuring devices, calibration devices, and meters.

  • Demonstrated mathematical abilities within position scope.

  • Computer skills necessary to fulfill position requirements, including application of CMMS, MS Office applications, etc.
