Job Description Summary

GE Healthcare Imaging is a global technology leader that develops effective solutions based on a comprehensive portfolio of products including CT. Radiologists use our review software at tens of thousands of sites around the world for diagnosis, preparation for medical intervention or treatment monitoring. In this role, you will work in the CT department, and be in charge of developing and testing applications in the field of medical image post-processing based on an internal web-based SDK of microservices. The software for which you will be responsible is intended for reviewing medical images and assisting in diagnosis. It will improve the reliability and speed of diagnosis using 3D and 4D tools.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product specialists, systems teams and software architects to translate user clinical and workflow needs to software epics, features, use cases, stories and requirements.

  • As part of the team, design, develop, test, refactor and continuously improve product software.

  • Work on applications aimed at radiologists, cardiologists, surgeons and oncologists, using data generated by CT scanners

  • Deliver to expected timelines and quality standards

  • Design, develop, improve, and expand the existing testing platform and frameworks

  • Understand system and subsystem requirements in order to develop effective tests

  • Prioritize tests and initiatives that will provide the biggest impact

  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Scrum and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

  • Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process

  • Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions

  • Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning, and testing methodology for a software project

  • Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 2 years of experience

  • At least 2 years of experience developing software in an object oriented programming language (e.g. Java, Python)

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Desired Qualifications

  • Has experience in test automation (e.g. Selenium)

  • Has experience and ability to write scripts to automate test execution and integrate into DevOps CI pipelines (e.g. python)

  • Has experience in testing web services & RESTful APIs

  • Has experience with issue-tracking and agile project management systems (e.g. Clearquest, ALM, Rally)

  • Has experience working in Linux/Unix

  • Has experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure
