The Senior Environmental Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the organization\'s Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS). The position requires the support of the organization\'s environmental compliance program globally. This position requires a highly driven individual to produce world-class environmental results across multiple business functions and geographies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance Monitoring Performs the planning, inspection, sampling, and recordkeeping requirements for all environmental compliance programs. Ensures that local, state and federal environmental regulations, codes and rules are followed at multiple locations. Investigates incidents (including releases) to determine root causes and prepares/directs corrective and preventive action plans. Conducts and oversees monthly inspections of hazardous waste accumulation/chemical storage areas. Establishes an open line communication with local regulating authorities. Supporting Corporate Initiatives Supports development, maintenance, and achievement of corporate goals, strategic initiatives designed to produce operational excellence. Supports data collection and analysis for environmental sustainability programs. Implements and perform EHS compliance audits and ISO 14001 audits according to Generac procedures to ensure that consistent, best-in-class results and compliance are followed to enable operational excellence.
