Eaton Corporation Punch Press Operator - 1st Shift in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Punch Press Operator - 1st Shift to join our team on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI!

The hourly rate for this position is $20.80 per hour. The core hours are 7 am - 3 pm.

What you’ll do:

The Punch Press Operator runs a DNC or D LOG NC system computer to load programs to a numerical control (NC) turret punch press.

In this function, you will:

  • Check machine components for proper operations; machine systems for proper pressure, indicator lights for operation, and tooling for sharpness.

  • Change punches and dies when dull and installs special punches when required. Lubricate X and Y axis ways and punches.

  • Set work-holders in proper position; load and position light or heavy steel pieces properly on press table.

  • Check programs for tool changes and make the appropriate changes. Change tooling stamps as required.

  • Activate machines for programmed cycle and dial in omitted punching or non-programmed special runs. Clear machines when malfunctions occur.

  • Check finished pieces against print for correct punching and dimensions.

  • Unload finished pieces and stack properly on carts and other material handling equipment.

  • Note any discrepancies on programs and forward information to Engineering.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 6 months of machining experience within a manufacturing environment

Skills:

  • Ability to work overtime when required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
