Generac Power Systems Project Manager - Facilities and Real Estate in Waukesha, Wisconsin

The Facilities & Real Estate Project Manager is responsible for managing real estate and facilities projects that range from property management and lease administration, site planning, layouts, moving and rearranging, cost estimating, and security access maintenance. This position utilizes enterprise standards to ensure ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures and process documentation related to continuous improvement directives and corporate branding practices. This position works closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Sites, Product Engineering, Marketing, Sales Offices, Supply Chain, and IT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute and lead complex multi-site, multi-discipline, best practice facility and/or real estate projects.

  • Manage facility transformation, and ongoing maintenance within the scope of the projects that are assigned.

  • Ensure the highest level of operating standards regarding facility appearance/cleanness/orderliness.

  • Ensure ongoing success of project initiatives by implementing policies, procedures and process documentation during project execution.

  • Oversee deployment of Generac standards, practices, and processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, Business, Industrial Technology, or equivalent related degree -OR- 5 years related experience in an Operations function within a similar working environment;

  • 5 years of progressive project management experience in a similar working environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of financial measurements in the facilities / real estate areas;

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;

  • CAD skills with experience in building layout projects;

  • Strong project leadership skills within a collaborative environment;

  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams and individuals cross-functionally;

  • Experience collaborating with multiple sites and functions to drive common solutions;

  • Experience operating in a multitude of business environments, i.e. manufacturing, office space, etc.;

  • Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast paced environment;

  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, including the ability to identify creative and effective solutions and the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions;

  • Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
