Job Description Summary

The Director of Finance Development Programs will collaborate with the GE HealthCare CFO and Finance Leadership Team to identify and execute the strategic vision for Finance development programs, including OFLP and FMP. This role involves defining global learning paths, partnering with Learning leaders and external partners for training, and ensuring program standardization and compliance. The Director will manage recruitment and onboarding processes, coordinate CFO staff updates, and oversee the budget for global FMP and OFLP. Additionally, the Director will integrate finance leadership programs with GEHC business priorities, oversee OFLP project outcomes, implement rigorous scoping processes, and ensure strategic thinking and development opportunities for program members. The role also includes establishing global standards for FMP, overseeing performance reviews, and ensuring consistent program execution and coaching across regions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision and Execution:

  • Collaborate with GE HealthCare CFO and Finance Leadership Team to identify and define the strategic vision for Finance development programs (OFLP and FMP).

  • Translate the strategic vision into actionable plans to develop future leaders in the Finance function, aligning with current and future organizational needs.

  • Program Development and Learning Path:

  • Define global learning paths for each program to achieve the strategic vision.

  • Partner with Learning leaders to drive financial learning curriculum and collaborate with universities/external partners for technical and leadership training.

  • Program Management and Standardization:

  • Ensure global standardization of programs and adherence to program requirements.

  • Manage the recruiting and onboarding processes for FMP and OFLP, including interns.

  • Coordinate CFO staff level updates for all programs (project updates, people reviews, learning updates).

  • Budget and Resource Management:

  • Own the budget for global FMP and OFLP programs.

  • Align with FLT for program sizing and off-program organizational needs, integrating these into the demand plan for each program.

  • Partner with senior leaders to place graduates in appropriate roles within the business upon program completion.

  • OFLP Specific Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the business outcomes of all OFLP projects, ensuring rigorous reviews into scoping, execution, and closure.

  • Implement, review, and challenge team leaders on bi-annual OFLP scoping processes through independent Enterprise Risk Management reviews.

  • Ensure OFLP projects align with top business priorities and promote independent thought and strategic thinking.

  • Evaluate ad hoc OFLP project requests and resourcing needs, liaising with FLT.

  • Manage the development opportunities for OFLP program members, including rotational assignments and promotion planning.

  • Act as a strategic thought leader, challenging project scopes and execution to ensure optimal business outcomes.

  • Lead OFLP managers, overseeing holistic project execution and first-time manager development.

  • Support OFLP managers in preparing and executing CFO staff level updates.

  • FMP Specific Responsibilities:

  • Implement global standards for role areas, role quality, assignment leader selection and training, supplemental experiences, and learning.

  • Establish global program development criteria and oversee regional deployment of these standards.

  • Ensure consistent adherence to HR policies through global performance reviews.

  • Coordinate with Region FMP leaders to ensure smooth and consistent program operations globally.

  • Provide FMP participants with consistent coaching and development oversight throughout the program duration.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the Finance function.

  • Bachelor's degree from a university or college.

  • Deep financial acumen and strong understanding of financial statements.

  • Previous experience as a people leader.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent executive communication skills.

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience with GE HealthCare development programs.

  • Experience in Program Management.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and work independently across multiple scopes and domains.

  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and take risks independently.

  • Experience working cross-functionally, including at senior levels.

  • Passion for coaching and leading highly motivated individuals in the Finance function.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $168,000.00-$252,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
