Our client creates specialty natural ingredients for products, they are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join their growing team!
Location: Waukegan, IL (onsite!)
Shift: M-F 1st shift (around 7a-4p M-F)
Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $50K
Responsibilities:
Collect and archive library samples from Receiving and ensure accurate labeling and paperwork for inbound products.
Conduct quality and food safety audits, including pre-operational inspections and equipment checks.
Evaluate product samples upon receipt for appearance, size, moisture analysis, and ingredient compliance.
Ensure allergen compliance on production lines and perform Gluten testing on Gluten-free products.
Assist with inspections of customer returns and manage product sampling for Certificate of Analysis creation.
Maintain QA-related documentation and perform data entry, including Vendor Certificate of Analysis.
Conduct internal incident investigations and generate maintenance requests related to quality and food safety.
Perform ATP swabbing and equipment cleaning post-sanitation processes.
Requirements:
High School diploma required.
Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of work experience.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish helpful.
