Elevate Care Waukegan Life Enrichment Coordinator Activity Aide in Waukegan, Illinois
Elevate Care is a dedicated and compassionate provider of long-term care services committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are currently seeking a dynamic and creative Activity Aide to join our team and contribute to the well-being and happiness of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
Collaborate with the Activities Director to create a diverse and engaging activity calendar.
Adapt activities to meet the unique needs and interests of residents, ensuring inclusivity for all.
Provide support and assistance to residents during activities, fostering a positive and enjoyable environment.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and document observations regarding residents' responses to activities.
Work closely with the healthcare team to integrate activities into the overall care plan.
Ensure the safety and supervision of residents during activities, reporting any concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in recreational or therapeutic activities, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Understanding of the physical and cognitive limitations of the elderly population.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt activities to meet the needs of residents with varying abilities.
Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for nursing home residents.
