Lakeside Neurologic Gate Guard in Wauchula, Florida

Lakeside Neurologic, located in beautiful central Florida, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Gate Guard. The facility is located on 900 acres just outside of Wauchula, Florida. Lakeside Neurologic treats pediatric and adult survivors of traumatic brain injury. Our facility provides treatment to adiult and pediatric residents in a Transitional Living Facility setting.

Summary:

The Gate Guard will be responsible for the safety, welfare and enforcement of the gatehouse rules and policies by all clients, employees, visitors and guests entering and having access to the facilities. Shifts are:

7 p.m. to 7 a.m. - Sun-Sat - (3) 12 hour shifts with rotating weekends. This is a full time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients, visitors and staff.

  • Verify identity and purpose of their visit with to confirm visitor is scheduled for an approved visit or appointment with department heads or receptionist.

  • Secure of entrances and exits of the community.

  • Observe and report suspicious activities and persons.

  • Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.

  • Providing exceptional customer service to both clients and their visitors as well as community visitors.

  • Complete required shift logs and reports; compliance with site post orders, and client policies and procedures.

  • Watch for, document and report irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.

  • Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.

  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits.

  • Provide assistance to clients, team members and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff.

Education and Work Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be safety conscious and have the ability to make logical decisions on overall safety.

  • Ability to exhibit patience, diplomacy, consideration, flexibility, neatness and respect at all times.

  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.

  • Possess excellent customer service skills and have a desire to learn.
