Position is located: Inland Hospital - Waterville, ME

Work Type: Full Time

Hours Per Week: 40 Hour/Week

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This position is eligible for a $10,000 (minus tax) sign on bonus that is paid out incrementally.

Summary:

The Wound Care Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with clinical, administrative, nursing and physician leadership to support the care provided through our inpatient and outpatient wound care services. This clinician applies evidence-based knowledge and acquired skills to assess and partner with providers and patients to provide consistent, best-practice wound care to our patients. The clinician adapts interventions to the workflow and pace to accommodate inpatient and outpatient support. This clinician supports the on-going education of the inpatient staff nurses to provide consistency in care. This clinician performs any duties and/or responsibilities within his or her scope of practice as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Recognize, respect, value and advocate for the role and expertise of patients, family members, and providers in the process of healthcare delivery and shared decision-making.

• Develop a shared understanding of the respective roles and responsibilities of team members to ensure that collaboration is efficient.

• Serve as an effective member of an inter-professional team, helping other providers on the team to quickly conceptualize a patient’s strengths, healthcare problems, and an appropriate plan of care.

• Facilitate collaborative care by actively sharing relevant information with others through communications that are authorized by the patient and are permissible under HIPAA and related laws, regulations and policies.

• Demonstrate practicality, flexibility, and adaptability in the process of working with others.

• Maintains and exhibits a current knowledge of profession and participates in continuing education.

• Maintains a safe environment complying with NLH policies and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.

• May perform other duties upon request.

Other Information:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maine

• Bachelor's Degree, preferred

• WOCN Certification, or willingness to obtain, preferred

2-3 years' work-related experience and clinical experience.
