Lakeview NeuroRehabilitation Center Maintenance Specialist II in Waterford, Wisconsin
Position Purpose:
To maintain the building and grounds in a safe and secure condition, to provide the proper environment for patients/residents, families, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining compliance with all local, State and Federal regulations. Report any non-compliance to supervisor or Safety Director.
Attend formal training/education to improve and/or advance position skills
Perform building maintenance including rough carpentry, painting, and dry wall and ceiling repair.
Perform routine grounds work including mowing, trimming, and raking, sweeping, spraying, watering, planting, and other duties as required.
Perform floor care through maintaining floor surfaces (polishing, waxing, repairing, extracting and cleaning).
Performs minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs including electric bed installation, removal; carpentry, and other repairs
Participate in department meetings, fire drills, elopement and other disaster drills
Properly use, store and dispose of Hazardous, flammable and combustible chemicals and materials.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Plant
Qualifications:
Skill, Knowledge and Abilities:
Able to read and write in English.
Ability to rotate shifts and days off as required to perform assignments.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patients/residents.
Emotional stability necessary to perform essential functions in patient/ resident areas.
Knowledge of fire and safety codes, JCAHO requirements, state and federal regulations as related to plant operations.
Education: High School, with some vocational/technical school/apprentice training.
Licensure: Minimum - Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
Experience: Minimum – Two years related service.
