The Role in Brief
Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist
The Senior AR Specialist provides a vital role in our Accounting department, interacting with external partners and internal account teams to achieve cash collections goals. The role requires strong customer service skills, effective communication in a confident and pleasant manner, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. EAB seeks someone with strong analytical and critical thinking to support the AR Manager with reporting and problem-solving. The Senior AR Specialist will also support data migration efforts and other projects for our growing business.
This role is based in either Washington, DC or Richmond, VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with partners in a collaborative manner to ensure timely collection on outstanding partner invoices
Collaborate with Account Management and Commercial colleagues to develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize outstanding debts
Monitor and manage aging accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
Handle finance-related billing inquiries from internal and external contacts
Strategize and effectively communicate with Account Management to handle partner concerns
Autonomously manage a pool of partners
Update database daily for collections reporting
Support AR Manager with reporting, inbox management, and researching complex partner situations
Identify and assist with implementing opportunities for process improvements in accounts receivable management
Manage and complete special projects as necessary
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 4-5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory position
Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree
High level of customer service skills to communicate effectively by e-mail and phone
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to take initiative on projects and handle customer service interactions
Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities in an office setting
Intermediate Excel skills
Ideal Qualifications:
Multi-lingual (Spanish)
Accounting, Finance, or Business degree
Experience with NetSuite and familiarity with Salesforce reporting and views
Experience with GETPAID Collections Software

Compensation:
The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $46,000 - $60,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.
