Oracle Senior Director, Government Affairs in Washington, District Of Columbia

Job Description

Oracle Corporate Affairs is seeking a Senior Director, Government Affairs . The Senior Director will report to the Vice President, Government Affairs and serve as one of the company’s Legislative and Executive Branch lobbyists. The Senior Director will work in collaboration with a diverse portfolio of stakeholders, specific business units, and relevant functional experts within the company to drive domestic legislative, policy, and business initiatives. The Senior Director will primarily focus on healthcare, including modernization of healthcare technology systems, electronic health records, cybersecurity and other relevant healthcare policies.

The ideal candidate has expertise in healthcare technology systems, including electronic health records; deep knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including data privacy and cybersecurity; experience in working with veteran-focused and healthcare-focused Congressional Committees and Members; experience in working with Executive Branch veteran-focused and healthcare departments and agencies; demonstrated success in achieving results in support of specific goals and objectives; and understands the importance of the role to the success of the organization.

The Senior Director will be based in Washington, DC, and will be expected to primarily perform their duties as an in-office employee.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in relevant healthcare-related positions, preferably with Legislative and Executive Branch experience.

  • Experience briefing and staffing senior-level executives.

  • Superior written, oral communication, and analytical skills.

  • Experience preparing policy briefings, testimony for Congressional hearings, responses to Executive and Legislative requests for information on policy matters, etc.

  • Established relationships with key policy makers including strong connectivity to veterans-focused and healthcare-focused Congressional Members and oversight/appropriations Committees, Executive Branch veterans-focused and healthcare departments, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Experience in public policy, working with leaders of government and industry to influence public policy, monitor government initiatives and advocate for specific plans to advance the company's objectives.

  • Experience representing a company or advocating for a position in government forums or industry group meetings.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $139,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
