ROLE SUMMARY

The Program Management Office (PMO) Director for Nando's North America is accountable for establishing the PMO and driving project management activities by managing the enterprise-wide project portfolio. They will coordinate and consolidate the work across all work streams relative to planning our North America timeline. They will be responsible for driving project management best practices, establishing resource and capacity management. As with all members of the Nando's family, the Project Management Office Director will be expected to wear multiple hats, seek out opportunities to make Nando's and themselves better every day, and in general, be a good team player! The essential functions of this position are mapped out below:

KEY FOCUS AREAS

Business Planning and Management

  • Responsible for building and establishing the business plan for the project management office for Nando's North America

  • Administers and manages the overall business plan that includes scope, timelines, capacity, and resources within the organization

  • Creates and implements tools, templates, and processes on projects to ensure deliverables are met on time

  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, cross-project dependencies, and report on project status expected outcomes and benefits

Project Management, Resource and Capacity Planning

  • Responsible for Nando's North America project portfolio, which includes implementing capacity planning for resources within each department. Also, monitoring key initiatives for projects to be delivered in timely manner.

  • Partner with project leads to ensure proper resources and capacity are allocated for projects

  • Build and communicate strategic criteria for project portfolio

  • Manage key strategic projects for the company to ensure organization and timely delivery

  • Establish project prioritization criteria and processes, to ensure Nando's North America is utilizing resources on the right projects

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with executive leadership and department leads on the business plan and help the organization focus on key priorities to drive efficiency in the business

  • Work with key stakeholders on cross functional projects for the organization and streamline processes to maximize resources

  • Partner with training team to help build capabilities among other project leaders within the organization

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years overall Program and Project Management and 3+ years multi-program Program Director or PMO experience.

  • Strong experience in managing relationships with C-level executives (CEO, CFO, CIO, COO, etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting / leading large-scale programs and projects/initiatives to successful completion and implementation.

  • Exhibited the ability to manage conflict, escalations, negotiating compromise & influencing others, and problem solving

  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels within the enterprise

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Anticipates and addresses issues and can make decisions quickly

  • Experience facilitating within small and large groups
